I grew up in California and my style is very influenced by the hot days and cold nights. I remember wearing Ugg boots and short skirts to school- blegh! But living in New York has definitely upped my style game.
This weekend, I am going back home to look at wedding venues with my mom! ? I'm going to be there for 4 days where the weather is going to be in the mid-60s the first two days and in the 70s' or 80's the last two days! Oh, how I took good weather for granted!
For the tours, I'd like to look a bit more professional than jeans and a t-shirt that I normally wear. I'm bringing a paper bag waist pants from Aritzia with a long sleeve shirt from Zara. I wear it every time I need to look more put together. I've also packed a nice Aritzia tank top to wear with jeans because old habits die hard.
For the warmer days, I am going to wear jean shorts and a t-shirt of Alice's Restaurant. The shirt is based on one of my absolute favorite songs. When I was packing, I found a dollar in the jean shorts! Score! I left it there so I will be pleasantly surprised when I wear it.
I didn't bring any shoes because I end up borrowing my mom's shoes. For more info on her clothes that I steal and/or borrow, buy my book (amazon affiliate link below).
And of course, I have to bring bathing suits and workout clothes that I will never wear. Going home is still a vacation and I don't work out on vacation!
